Steps At a Glance:

Ready? Here’s how:

1

You’ll need:

  • one Catalog Star per turkey

  • an empty box or some box scraps

  • scissors

  • tape

  • pencil

  • markers or crayons

2

If you are using a whole box open the bottom and the side seam and lay the box out flat.

Or you can use scraps of box.

Draw a pear shape about two inches tall and wide, with a strip extending out from each side. Make the strips about as wide as your finger.

Cut out the whole shape in one piece.

3

Add a turkey face with markers or crayons.

Add the guest’s name.

4

Fold the sides behind the turkey-pear, slightly upwards. The angle helps the turkey stand up.

Take a piece of tape and form a sticky-side-out tube. Stick it to the back of the turkey at about neck-height.

5

Decide which side of the star you want facing out, and stick the star to the turkey. Add another tape circle if needed to make it secure.

That’s it — your Turkey Placecard is ready to welcome a guest to your table!
