fun way to enjoy those Catalog Stars
Beautiful room decoration for any season, any reason
SO simple to make, and no cleanup
Everyone who sees it will want one
Whenever I make Catalog Stars there’s always a few that I especially love. This garland is a perfect way to showcase your favorite stars — including any of the giant version of Catalog Stars you make. Big and small mixed together looks amazing but really, any of your Catalog Stars will make a garland you’ll be happy to see every day.
Steps At a Glance:
Ready? Here’s how:
1
You’ll need:
8 - 10 Catalog Stars
string
scissors
tape
You can use any size of Catalog Stars, including the giant size. Use a mix of sizes or all the same size — either way looks great.
2
Cut a six-foot length of string and tie a loop at each end, for hanging your garland.
3
Take a star, and stick a 1” piece of tape onto the end of a ray or point of the star. Leave about half the tape extending from the star tip.
4
Bring the string behind the tape, close to the star. Fold the free end of the tape down and stick it onto the back of the point. Repeat with the remaining stars, spacing them as you like.
It’s tricky/impossible to slide the stars once they’re taped onto the string. If you find you need to move a star just cut the tape and retape in a new spot.
5
Hang your garland from pushpins and enjoy! Gorgeous, right?
Makes a great partner to the Catalog Star Wreath, and looks good paired with Party Banners too!
and try this:
Mixed Banners
Mix Catalog Stars with any shape of Party Banners, or with Greeting Card Banners, All-Purpose Letters, or Cereal Box Banners. Catalog Stars’ cheerful round shape works great with other shapes, right on the same string.
